Baritone Sinan Vural was born in Ankara, Turkey. During his university studies in computer science there, he took singing lessons with Yıldız Tunbul. He continued his vocal studies at the conservatory in Enschede with Anne Haenen and then at the Nieuwe Opera Academie in Amsterdam with Cora Canne Meijer. After his studies, he continued to work with Margreet Honig.
He has sung and sings with most opera and music theatre companies in the Netherlands: mainly Holland Opera, World Opera Lab, Opera Spanga and Opera Nijetrijne. He can also often be heard as a soloist in the oratorio and song repertoire. In 2010 a double CD was released by Centaur Records on which he sings the entire vocal oeuvre of Arthur Honegger together with soprano Claudia Patacca and pianist Nicholas Ross.
Since September 2014 he has been a vocal teacher at the Fontys Conservatory in Tilburg and since 2022 he has been a vocal methodology teacher at the Conservatory of Amsterdam.
In recent seasons he has appeared in Arianna and De Passie van Nu at World Opera Lab, in the role of Swallow in the large open-air production Peter Grimes in Paesens-Moddergat (Friesland), in the new opera production of World Opera Lab at the Rotterdam O-Festival, Salomon and Sheba, and in After the Flood at Opera Spanga. Last summer he sang in the opera Armida by Antonio Salieri at Opera Nijetrijne (Friesland) and next summer he will also be heard with this company.
